APRIL

When love is awakened, it must be nurtured.

Even if is awakened spontaneously,

it does not grow by itself. J.K.

Care

I visited a friend. She and her husband were having a bit of a hard time at the moment. He had just come back from shopping, two children in tow. Even before he brought the things he purchased into the kitchen

he solemnly gave her a large bouquet of flowers: “For you.”

And then he said, “Unfortunately, I don’t have the make-up I was supposed to bring you.”

One of the children piped up: “Why make-up, Mom? You haven’t used make-up for an eternity!”  For a moment I was speechless, but I knew that this was about something very important:

You are important to me. He said it with flowers.

She said it by making herself pretty for him.

Yes, love must be nurtured.

Today I experienced how beautiful this is.
