“Accept My Yes!”

The Candidates of the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary
Schönstatt, Germany

Why Did I Decide to Become a Sister of Mary?

Hallo! Hello! Cześć! Hola! ഹലോ!

What kind of a motley group is that? That is US

— the candidates of the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary. Pierogi, Chilaquiles, Appam, Tapioca, Mate, Tortilla de Patatas, Chipa and much more! We are really an interesting configuration. Different fashions, languages, cultures, tastes, and world views clash and challenge us but, most of all, also enrich us.

We come

from India, Poland, Spain, Argentina, Paraguay, and Mexico.

Nine totally different young women who have left everything behind. God called us in different stages of our life—during our studies or school days, at work, when we thought our lives were already “planned.” But he had already designed the BEST plan for us.

You might say: So very different! HOW can they come together? A decisive thing that unites us is that we burn for the mission of Schoenstatt and would like to pass on the charism of our father and founder, Father Joseph Kentenich!

We come from different countries, and therefore, we need a common language. That language is German, because we live here at the place where Schoenstatt was founded and we have our training here. It is a great enrichment for us to read, hear, and understand the words of our founder in his own language even though it is not always so easy, because German is not only difficult but often simply “impossible!” Nevertheless, wonderful!

God has led each of us individually and with much love. It is a gift for us to discover the love and guidance of God in the life of each one of us.

“Mother, in our Covenant you have now become the Queen of my heart …”

Each week one of us will share a little about the journey

that led her finally to give her answer: “Accept my yes…”
