Pope Francis will visit Chile from January 15-18. On the program there is a planned encounter with the consecrated persons, religious, and priests in the Cathedral of Santiago. A group of 15 Sisters of Mary will participate in the choir. One of the songs, “Alégrate, María!” was composed by Sister María del Rosario. This song will also be performed by another choir in Pope Francis’ encounter with the youth at the Templo Votivo de la Virgen del Carmen in Maipú. The Sisters of Mary in Chile have produced several CDs with religious music that have spread to other countries.
